In her late teens Mary fell in love with Joe Groves, horse-breaker,
drover and rodeo rider. Then, during their 40 years surviving together
in Australia's Outback wilderness, Mary learned to operate helicopters,
cattle trucks and anything else it took to assist Joe and to keep their
family of six afloat. During this exciting and challenging life they
managed an owned an array of cattle stations, driven by the belief
