Dr. Tessa Murdoch FSA is a distinguished art historian, curator, and author specializing in decorative arts, material culture, and the social history of design. Over a acclaimed career spanning four decades, she held senior curatorial roles at the Museum of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), where she served as Deputy Keeper of Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics, and Glass.
A internationally recognized expert on the diaspora of refugee craftspeople, Dr. Murdoch's landmark works include Europe Divided: Huguenot Refugee Art and Culture and Treasures of the Royal Courts. She serves as Chair of Trustees of the Huguenot Museum and advises major heritage organizations, including the National Trust, the Arts Council England Acceptance in Lieu Panel, and the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
