The captivating narrative of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship continues
>Speed, glamour, and intrigue ...
Formula 1 encapsulates our love affair with the car, our obsession with speed, and our insatiable desire to win. Its blend of glamour, worldwide reach, and the intrigue of power politics makes it a seductive concoction for fans around the globe. In this latest book in the Formula 1 All the Races series, Roger Smith explores 'The Liberty Years', perhaps the most transformative period for Formula 1 technically, commercially, and philosophically: is it sport or entertainment?

In late 2016, Liberty Media Corporation, a prominent American owned company with a business focus in media, communications and entertainment, bid to acquire the commercial rights for Formula 1. It marked the beginning of a new era and is the most far-reaching expression of US involvement and influence on the sport to date, but by no means the first. Full up-to-date season coverage
>USA - a special place in F1 history
Part two takes you on a special USA Tribute tour, celebrating 40 landmark races covering America's 75 year history in Formula 1. From the first ever F1 start for an American driver at the 1950 Monaco GP, to 2024's Dutch Grand Prix which saw Logan Sergeant become the 50th American to compete.
Discover the pioneers of the 50s and 60s such as Harry Schell and Dan Gurney; the most successful US driver of all time, Mario Andretti; the 'shapers' of the 80s, such as Marlboro and Goodyear; and the 'players' of recent decades - Liberty, Netflix and Las Vegas. Über den Autor

Roger Smith is a lifetime fan and student of Formula 1, and has attended over 100 F1 races across five continents. Prior to becoming an author, Roger worked for a leading business information company. His successful 40-year career spanned several international roles and his research findings were published throughout Europe.
Following retirement from business life, Roger pursued his aspiration to write. His first book, Analysing Formula 1, published in 2008, was a stepping stone to a more ambitious project. Inspired by a gap on his own personal F1 bookshelf, he set out to create a single volume incorporating an informative historical storyline race-by-race. Formula 1: All The Races, first published in 2012, sold out within four months and was shortlisted for the British Sports Book Awards. To celebrate 75 years of F1, the fifth edition in the series is set to bring the F1 story bang up to date.
Roger lives in Oxford and Chichester with his wife, and is a member of The Guild of Motoring Writers.
