The book develops an original and revolutionary thesis: a journey through the zodiac allows us to reinterpret the mystery of humanity's most ancient legacy. The mythical figures of Ancient Egypt come to life on an adventure aboard a solar boat in which they cross cosmic double portals of the hours that enable them to travel through twelve distinct regions. In this personal story they discover, through their experiences and using the natural symbols of astrology, the essential meanings of each of the star signs. This perspective is paramount in a largely oral and visual culture. In this work, myths, clearly poetic and imaginative explanations of astronomy, are united in a single story, which advances to the rhythm of the cycles of the cosmos. Some 273 photographs of archaeological findings that span the history of visual art and everyday life help to confirm this perspective. The narrative is also a synthesis of three thousand years of literature and philosophy woven with multiple layers of meaning, similar to the wisdom texts of the pharaohs. The approach is based on exhaustive research, but presented in a classic format apt for all ages; it straddles Egyptology and Egyptomania. An open-minded perspective is necessary to understand this knowledge, which five millennia ago was already quite mature. By appreciating the cosmology that generated this way of understanding the active participation of each person as a vital part of a whole, it is possible to acknowledge in a new light the key ideas of the history of culture.
