Über den Autor

Plutarch of Chaeronea (c. 45-120 CE) was a Greek biographer and Platonist philosopher whose writings helped define biography as a literary and moral art. Best known for Parallel Lives-paired studies of Greek and Roman leaders-he also wrote the wide-ranging Moralia, essays and dialogues on ethics, religion, politics, and character.
