Michael Ramsey Prize (2023)Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt is professor of theology at Loyola University Maryland, where he has been honored as Distinguished Scholar of the Year (2022) and has also received the Bernard J. Nachbahr Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Humanities (2009). In addition to teaching at Loyola, he serves as a permanent deacon of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, assigned to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. Bauerschmidt's book The Love That Is God: An Invitation to Christian Faith won the 2023 Michael Ramsey Prize for Theological Writing, an honor awarded by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
