In this work a novel continuous multi-step membrane encapsulation process is introduced. Consisting of different porous membranes for each emulsification step, the proposed modular setup generates a premix, an internal, and a double emulsion in sequence. For each step the influence of fluid and membrane properties is discussed with regards to its effect on the emulsion quality.
