It is one thing to preserve the material, quite another to do justice to the meaning of an item. This is the reason why we tried to bring together Indonesian and foreign scholars, conservators and lecturers in conservation in this book and initiate - because it cannot be called more - a communication for the well-being of the cultural heritage
